Research organisation of the American computing company IBM, with its main laboratory at Yorktown Heights in New York and centres in Zurich, Haifa, Tokyo, Bangalore and Africa, founded in 1945. Works on semiconductors, quantum computing, artificial intelligence and hybrid cloud, and applies them to health and life sciences with projects on molecular discovery, protein and materials modelling, clinical data analysis and medical imaging carried out with pharmaceutical companies and hospitals.
