Japan Biological Informatics Consortium

Japanese research consortium in Tokyo, founded in 1997 to bring companies and public laboratories together on bioinformatics and the use of information technology in the life sciences. Runs national projects on genome and protein data analysis, natural product and microbial genome research and databases for industry, works with the national institute of advanced industrial science and technology and the ministry of economy, trade and industry, and publishes tools and data for its member companies.
