Jefferson University

American private university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose medical college was founded in 1824 and which combined with Philadelphia University in 2017 to add design, engineering, textiles and business to its health sciences. Teaches through the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, the College of Pharmacy, the Jefferson College of Nursing and colleges of health professions, population health, life sciences and design and engineering, runs Jefferson Health as its clinical arm, and carries out research in cancer through the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, neuroscience and pharmacology with clinical trials.
