British not for profit company and educational charity at Leeds, formed in 1983 out of work started at the University of Leeds, which builds knowledge based software for predicting the safety of chemicals. Publishes the Derek and Sarah Nexus systems for predicting toxicity and mutagenicity, the Zeneth system for degradation chemistry, the Vitic and Mirabilis databases and the Meteor metabolism system, and runs shared data projects with pharmaceutical companies and regulators on impurities, extractables and nitrosamines.
