Indian pharmaceutical company with headquarters at Bangalore in Karnataka, founded in 1973 by G. C. Surana and privately held. Makes and sells medicines for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pain, ophthalmology and dermatology in India and exports to more than eighty countries, runs manufacturing plants in Karnataka, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Goa and Tamil Nadu with approvals from international regulators, and produces active pharmaceutical ingredients as well as finished forms.
