Indian deemed university at Mullana near Ambala in Haryana, given deemed status in 2007 and built around health sciences. Teaches medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy and allied health alongside engineering, management and law, runs the Maharishi Markandeshwar institute of medical sciences and research and its teaching hospital, and carries out research in pharmaceutics, pharmacology and clinical research with its own laboratories and a clinical trials unit.
