American not for profit comprehensive cancer centre in Tampa, Florida, opened in 1986 and designated by the National Cancer Institute, the only such centre in the state. Treats cancer across medical, surgical and radiation oncology with transplantation and cellular immunotherapy, carries out drug discovery, immunology and cancer biology research and runs a large clinical trials programme with its own investigational drug pharmacy.
