Egyptian research centre at Nasr City in Cairo, part of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, which works on the peaceful uses of radiation. Runs gamma irradiation facilities and electron accelerators for sterilising medical products, treating food and modifying polymers, researches radiation chemistry, radiation microbiology and radiation biology and health effects, develops radiation processed materials, hydrogels and wound dressings, and provides irradiation and dosimetry services and training.
