Osakidetza / Basque Health Service

Public health service of the Basque Country in northern Spain, created in 1983 and headquartered in Vitoria-Gasteiz, providing health care to the provinces of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa under the Basque government department of health. Runs primary care centres, emergency services and public hospitals including Cruces, Donostia and Basurto, and manages hospital and community pharmacy services, medicine procurement and tendering, prescription policy, pharmacovigilance and clinical research through its health research institutes.
