Italian university hospital at Orbassano on the western edge of Turin in Piedmont, which grew out of a sanatorium and is now a teaching hospital of the University of Turin. Provides respiratory medicine, thoracic surgery, oncology, internal medicine, neurology and emergency care, houses the university's San Luigi medical school departments, and takes part in clinical trials and research in lung disease, oncology and clinical pharmacology.
