Ranbaxy Research Laboratories

Research organisation of Ranbaxy Laboratories, the Indian pharmaceutical company founded in 1961 and once the country's largest drug maker, with its research centre at Gurgaon in Haryana. Ran discovery research on new chemical entities and novel drug delivery systems, generic formulation and process development for the company's global generics business and analytical, bioequivalence and regulatory work, producing among other things the antimalarial arterolane, and was absorbed into Sun Pharmaceutical Industries when that company acquired Ranbaxy in 2015.
