SangStat Medical Corporation

American company founded in 1988 at Fremont in California, which worked on medicines and diagnostics for transplant patients. Sold the ciclosporin product Gengraf and the antibody Thymoglobulin used to prevent and treat organ rejection, together with monitoring services for transplant recipients; it was bought by Genzyme in 2003 and its products passed to Sanofi.
