Technology and research company of the Shell group registered in the Netherlands, which runs the group's technology centres at Amsterdam, Bangalore and Houston and licenses its process technology to other companies. Develops refining, gas processing, chemicals and catalyst technology, provides technical services and consultancy to Shell businesses and licensees, and carries out product and environmental science including toxicology, ecotoxicology and health risk assessment of fuels, lubricants and chemicals through its own laboratories and health and safety specialists.
