Sichuan University

Chinese public research university in Chengdu, Sichuan province, formed in 2000 by the merger of Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Science and Technology and West China University of Medical Sciences, with origins going back to 1896. Its West China School of Pharmacy is one of the oldest and leading pharmacy schools in the country, teaching pharmaceutical sciences with research in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology and natural products, alongside the West China School of Medicine, stomatology and public health and the West China Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in the world and a major clinical trial centre.
