University of Poitiers

French public university in Poitiers, Vienne, founded in 1431 and one of the oldest in the country. Its Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy teaches the pharmacy degree and the medical degree, with departments of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, galenic pharmacy and clinical pharmacy, and the university runs research units in pharmacology of ischaemia and cell therapy, chemistry and applied physical chemistry and ecology and biology of interactions, working with the Poitiers university hospital on clinical research.
