Belgian independent research and technology organisation at Mol in Flanders, established in 1991 by the Flemish government and organised as a public limited company. Carries out research and contract work in sustainable chemistry, energy, materials, water and land use and health, with a health unit that works on human biomonitoring, exposure assessment and environmental health, in vitro toxicology and alternative test methods and analytical chemistry, and runs accredited laboratories for industry and government.
