The Health Insurance Corporation announced that it will expand the collection infrastructure for discarded medicines in Wonju city to make disposal easier for citizens.
In addition to existing sites, dedicated collection boxes will be installed at apartments, schools, pharmacies, and administrative welfare centers.
On the 4th, the corporation joined the public‑private‑citizen “약속(藥束) 프로젝트” campaign, delivering 25 new boxes to the Wonju Social Welfare Council.
The “약속(藥束) 프로젝트” aims to spread a culture of proper pharmaceutical waste disposal through collaboration among local institutions.
