The Korean Hospital Pharmacists Association (President Jeong Kyung-ju) completed the judging of the "Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Excellent Improvement Activity Contest" and announced the final selection of nine teams, with Busan University Hospital receiving the Grand Prize.
Held for the first time this year, the contest seeks to discover and share outstanding improvement cases applied by hospital pharmacists across the entire medication management process—including selection, purchasing, storage, prescribing, compounding, administration, and monitoring—to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen patient safety.
Pharmacists from medical institutions nationwide participated in the competition, submitting examples of practical enhancements to their pharmacy services.
The winning cases will be disseminated to promote best practices and further improve patient safety across Korean hospitals.
