Pfizer Transfers Discontinued ADC PF-08046031 to Medicus Pharma

Pfizer has transferred an antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) it discontinued earlier this year to Medicus Pharma. The ADC, identified as PF-08046031 (also called CD228V), targets the protein melanotransferrin (CD228), which is highly expressed in melanoma and other solid tumours. According to U.S. SEC filing documents, Medicus Pharma paid Pfizer an upfront fee of $12 million for the rights to the compound. The agreement also includes milestone payments that could total more than $1 billion as development progresses. The ADC was originally secured by Pfizer through its $43 billion acquisition of Seagen, but development was halted before the transfer.
