Pharmacist advises proper hydration and restroom planning at Seoul fireworks festival

On May 5, a large fireworks festival will be held around Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul. Many spectators arrive early and spread out mats to secure good viewing spots. A common issue reported is the reluctance to leave the spot for restroom use, leading some attendees to hold their urine or severely limit fluid intake. Prolonged urine retention and excessive fluid restriction can place stress on the bladder and overall health. Pharmacist Kim Yoon‑kyung of Tree Pharmacy advises visitors to familiarize themselves with restroom locations in advance and to drink water in small, regular amounts rather than postponing bathroom trips.
