Director Cha Yong-il of the Korean Pharmacy Information Center announced that, following a meeting with partner companies, the deadline for completing the PM+20 conversion will be extended. Attending firms explained that, to avoid disrupting pharmacy operations, the conversion is being processed within limited daily capacities, which restricts the number of pharmacies that can be handled each day. They also noted a concentration of conversion requests during the July‑August vacation period, making short‑term completion difficult. Additionally, a high volume of free‑conversion applications from member pharmacies has created a backlog, leaving many pharmacies waiting for their turn. In response, the Pharmacy Information Center decided to extend the conversion timeline to accommodate these operational challenges.
