Ms. Ankita Acharya is an Indian researcher and academician. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at JIS University in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She has expertise in the fields of drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and targeted drug delivery. She has published six articles in reputed journals and has contributed to eight book chapters on topics related to Pharmacy. Currently, she is serving as a section editor (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) of the journal entitled Journal of Engineering Transactions. Her research interests include the development of novel drug delivery systems, targeted drug delivery, stimuli-responsive polymer-based drug delivery, interpenetrating polymer network-based drug delivery, and the application of nanotechnology in healthcare. She has also been involved in patenting innovative technologies, including hydrophobically modified water-soluble derivatives of chitosan as potential hemostatic agents.
