Astha Pathak is a Principal at VM College of Pharmacy, Bishrampur. She is also a PhD scholar in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Columbia Institute of Pharmacy, Raipur, with a strong academic and research background in herbal drug delivery and nanotechnology-based formulations. She holds an M.Pharm (Honors) from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, where her major research focused on the formulation and characterization of ellagic acid phytosomes as a herbal photoprotective agent. Her current doctoral research is centered on the development of topical nano drug delivery systems for the treatment of photoaging using indigenous herbal sources, with a particular emphasis on transethosomal vesicular systems. Her work integrates phytochemical analysis, formulation development, and advanced characterization techniques to enhance dermal drug delivery. She has actively contributed to the scientific community through multiple national and international conferences, presenting research on topics such as herbal photoprotectives, nano drug delivery systems for anti-aging, and pharmacological analysis of medicinal plants. She has also presented her work at the 68th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress. In addition to her research, she has over eight years of academic experience, serving as Principal at VM College of Pharmacy and as a faculty member at Sarguja University and other institutions. She is also an author of several research publications and a book on ethnobotanical perspectives of medicinal plants. Her research interests include nano drug delivery systems, transethosomes, phytosomes, herbal therapeutics, dermatological formulations, and anti-photoaging strategies.
