Dr. Courtney Davis is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and is based on the Jackson Campus. Dr. Davis is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Practice. She completed her undergraduate training at Mississippi College, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and completed a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Community-Based Pharmacy Residency at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She serves as the residency director of the PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program and is also a preceptor for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program. Dr. Davis provides clinical pharmacy services at an outpatient diabetes clinic where she also precepts students and residents. Her research interests are around the topics of diabetes, teaching and learning, and community-based projects. She is involved as a co-advisor for the American Pharmacists Association- Academy of Student Pharmacists on the Jackson campus. She received the PGY1 Community-Based Residency Preceptor of the Year in 2020. In 2022 she was inducted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Nelson Order. She also received the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) Preceptor of the Year teaching award in 2024.
