I am currently a Post doc in Professor Luca Laraia's group at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. I have completed my PhD in Medicinal chemistry and Chemical Biology under Luca Laraia's supervision at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). This was preceeded by an MSc in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry at Gothenburg University. Lastly, I have a BSc in Chemical Biology, with an Honours in Chemistry, from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. I am very passionate about using as many research tools as I possibly can in the development of my curiosities and to this end I continually add new techniques to my list of skills. From in-silico techniques aimed at computational design and SAR rationalization of small molecule binders of proteins to the use of new and exciting chemical techniques, such as photochemistry, to achieve chemical transformations that classical chemistry struggles to achieve. To which end I am experienced in rational design approaches, organic synthesis, and biophysical characterisation for the gearing of high affinity and selectivity ligand.
