Born in Salerno, Italy, qualified as Pharmacist (MPharm) in 2005. Cosmetic Science and Technology Expert (MSc) since 2007. Through his degree course, Paolo has been able to develop his interest in pharmaceutical chemistry, whilst improving his laboratory skills along with his managerial skills. While at University, he has also been able to use his skills working with people through a variety of event organisation. Through his postgraduate Master of Science course, Paolo has gained deep expertise in cosmetic science and technology, as well as very good preparation skills, which led to the design and development of several innovative formulations. Paolo often gets inspiration by linking his innovative research with his roots in the history and traditions of the Ancient Medical School of Salerno. During his academic career he also published several papers in international scientific journals and presented many works at international scientific conferences. In Italy he has performed several important managerial roles for some companies active in the pharmaceutical industry such as pharmacy chain stores, pharmaceutical suppliers and franchisors. He has provided advanced pharmacist services to various independent pharmacies to small and large multiples across England, such as being Pharmacist Store Manager for Boots UK, and Pharmacy Lead in South and East Kent, where he was leading and supporting store managers and pharmacists, by sharing individual and collective key performances metrics, targets and deadlines in order to deliver excellent pharmacy operations and patient safety every day. Currently he works as Clinical Pharmacist for the Gravesend Central Primary Care Network, Kent and Medway Integrated Care System, South East England. He has been a Royal Pharmaceutical Society Ambassador, a visible and proactive champion of the Society supporting members to engage with, and utilise, the vast array of support tools and services that are offered by the Society as part of the membership package. He actively supports the professional development programmes offered by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and is an Expert Mentor, providing support in four key areas of the Consultant Pharmacist Curriculum. He is one of the Facilitators for several CPCS CPD sessions for community pharmacists across England funded by Health Education England and run by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners and CPPE. Paolo is also a proud Ambassador of Pharmacist Support, the charity with the goal of helping pharmacists (and their families) throughout difficult times.
