Sandhiya S is a postgraduate student in Pharmacology with a strong academic background in pharmaceutical sciences. Her research interests focus primarily on endocrine and metabolic disorders, particularly polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), with an emphasis on understanding its complex pathophysiology and identifying potential therapeutic strategies. She is also interested in neuropharmacology, especially in exploring the neuroprotective effects of natural compounds in experimental models of neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, her research work involves evaluating the neuroprotective potential of herbal extracts in rotenone-induced Parkinson’s disease models, aiming to develop cost-effective and safer treatment approaches.
