Solomon Girmay Berehe holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry (University of Gondar, 2011) and an M.S. in Organic Chemistry (Haramaya University, 2014). He served as a lecturer in the Department of Applied Chemistry at Adama Science and Technology University (2014–2019). In August 2024, he earned his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology from the Korean University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea, under the supervision of Prof. Young-Sik Jung. During this time, he also worked as a research scientist for five years (September 2019–August 2024) at the Infectious Diseases Therapeutics Research Center, Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT). As a dedicated medicinal chemist, he is passionate about drug discovery and development, with a focus on small-molecule therapeutics targeting infectious diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer.
