Isomalt (marketed under the galenIQ brand, models 720/721/900/800/801/960/981) is a pharmaceutical-grade excipient meeting USP, BP, EP, and JP standards, supplied by Polywin(Shanghai) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. Produced by BENEO from beet-derived sugar under cGMP conditions per IPEC-PQG requirements and approved for use in China, it is a sweet-tasting, water-soluble polyol used as a filler and binder in tablets, chewable tablets, lozenges, effervescent products, powder sachets, and mini-tablets, with different galenIQ grades offering different solubility and particle-size profiles for tablets, powders, coatings, hot-melt extrusion, and liquid formulations.
