Adriana holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where she also completed her Master’s degree. Her research has focused on the development of functional and nanostructured materials for biomedical applications, with particular emphasis on stimuli-responsive systems for cancer treatment. Throughout her academic path, she has developed expertise in polymeric and nanofibrous materials, combining advanced processing techniques with the integration of micro- and nanoscale components for tailored functionalities. Her work has contributed to the design of innovative platforms for applications such as drug delivery and therapeutic technologies. She has been affiliated with the Soft and Biofunctional Materials Group at CENIMAT|i3N and has participated in funded research projects, contributing to scientific publications and conference communications. Her main research interests include functional materials, nanostructured systems, and advanced biomedical technologies.
