My current research interests center around the bioengineering/chemistry of drug research. Specifically, I am interested in drug delivery and development processes, with a focus on understanding all the biochemistry and chemistry interactions involved as well as implementing that knowledge into creating prominent solutions in medicine. My passion lies particularly in the field of biomaterials for drug delivery systems, especially within the context of advancing antimicrobial therapies. I am honestly so intrigued by the potential of nanomaterials and miRNAs to serve as such efficient carriers for antimicrobial and anticancer agents. My ultimate research goals is to be involved in design of such elaborate nanoscale delivery using biochemistry, biophysics, and synthetic chemistry techniques. These interests truly stem from a desire to contribute to the development of novel and effective solutions that address the pressing challenges in antibiotic resistance infections that I had seen growing up in Nigeria.
