Danira Ashraf Habashy is a Postdoc Assistant Lecturer of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy in the faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt.
She received her bachelor degree with highest honors from the faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, GUC, in 2011. In the same year, she has been appointed as a teaching assistant at the GUC.
Habashy worked as a senior researcher in the “Molecular Pathology Research Group- MPRG” at the GUC, which was headed by Assoc. Prof Dr. Ahmed Ihab Abdelaziz and obtained her M.Sc. and PhD degrees in the field of Molecular Pharmacology in the period from 2011-2016. She is a Group Leader of the Molecular Onco-Pharmacogenetics (MOPGs) Research Team at the Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy Departments at the GUC. Habashy is also lecturer of Clinical Pharmacy Diploma offered by Faculty of Pharmacy at German University in Cairo, GUC. She supervised 10 Master students and 2 PhD students and published some of the work in peer reviewed journals and had published 2 book chapters. Participated in many national and international conferences.
She focuses on epigenetic immuno-oncology, research team is currently working in the molecular regulation of immuno-modulatory proteins and pharmacogenomics of different cancers(Breast, Colorectal and Pancreatic cancers), in addition to testing the effectiveness and toxicity of new chemotherapeutic agents. she is currently working in collaboration with different departments in GUC and Cairo University on the study of clinical associations of drugs effect and toxicity in cancer patients together with drug repurposing and the effects of photocorms in oncology. In addition to working on Gasotransmitters in triple negative breast cancer.
