I am a PharmD graduate from AM Reddy Memorial College of Pharmacy, affiliated with Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, with First Class honours, completed in 2024. My academic foundation is complemented by hands-on clinical experience in various pharmacy and clinical research areas.
Internship Experience:
I completed a one-year internship (2023-2024) as a Clinical Pharmacist at Lalitha Super Specialty Hospital, Guntur. During this internship, I gained valuable experience in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, patient counselling, ADR reporting, pharmacotherapy, prescription writing, patient care management, and assisting physicians during ward rounds. Additionally, I participated in patient monitoring and worked towards improving patient outcomes.
Clinical Pharmacist Clerkship & Research Involvement:
I worked as a Clinical Pharmacist Clerkship from 2022-2023 for six months. During this period, I focused on research and successfully published one research article and one review article in international journals, highlighting my ability to contribute to the field of pharmacy and clinical research.
Clinical Research Focus:
During my internship, I voluntarily engaged in a Clinical Research program for three months in the Neurology department at Lalitha Super Specialty Hospital. This exposure deepened my interest in clinical research, where I learned about clinical trials, research protocols, data collection, and adhered to ICH and GCP guidelines. This experience fueled my passion for clinical research, which led me to pursue certifications in Clinical Data Management (CDM).
Certifications & Skill Development:
I earned a Clinical Data Management (CDM) certification during my internship and further developed my skills in clinical research.
I participated in a SAS Workshop for Beginners, which introduced me to the significance of SAS programming in clinical research.
I completed a SAS Base Internship for two months, followed by an advanced Clinical SAS course for four months. Throughout this program, I gained expertise in SAS Base, Macros, Loops, Arrays, SQL, CDISC SDTM, and ADaM, and worked on a project at the end of the course to apply the knowledge gained.
Current Research Interests & Career Goals:
My research interests lie in Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management (CDM), and SAS programming, particularly its application in clinical trials and data analysis. I am committed to enhancing the efficiency of clinical trials through IT solutions like SAS, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of clinical data management. My long-term goal is to become a skilled Clinical Researcher and SAS Programmer, contributing to clinical research advancements and patient safety.
