Head of Genetic Toxicology

I am a pharmaceutical scientist by training and received my PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) at the University of Tübingen (Department of Pharmacy) in cooperation with Merck Healthcare KGaA (Department of In vitro Toxicology). During my PhD, I worked on advanced liver cell models (3D organoids/spheroids, organ-on-a-chip) for the early prediction and mechanistic understanding of DILI. After finishing my PhD, I took on the role of Head of Genetic Toxicology at Merck Healthcare. My responsibilities include supporting pharmaceutical and chemical projects as GLP study director, monitor and toxicology expert. I am involved in GLP-compliant automation and digitalization processes at our test facility, including cloud-based SaaS systems. In addition, I am an active member of HESI GTTC, GUM, DGPT, and IWGT, where I regularly exchange ideas with colleagues and collaborate on projects.
