MEng in Biomedical Engineering

Tarushai Maharaj is a postgraduate student studying an MEngSc degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering in Stellenbosch University. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Ms. Maharaj has research experience in biochemistry, specifically protein characterisation and her research interests include genetics, molecular biology and biomedical technology. Ms. Maharaj's current field of research entails the development of a cancer-detecting biosensor using circulating tumour DNA as a biomarker.
