Resumen profesional
I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral research fellow at Politecnico di Milano, Physics Department, working under the project "Label-Free Raman Approaches for Patient-Specific Biochemical Tumor Mapping to Monitor Personalized Anticancer Resistance Simulation" (RAMPART), funded by the EU Commission.
My research experience is based on a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, conducted at CSIC, which included a 7-month research stay at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in Berlin and a short stay at Université Paris Cité. During this time, I advanced the state of the art in the reactive characterization of nanomaterials and their link to nanotoxicology, while also exploring the use of Raman spectroscopy to assess the toxicity of micro- and nanoplastics.
Given my growing interest in Raman spectroscopy, I decided to move toward biomedical applications of this technique, extending its use beyond material science to the analysis of biologically and clinically relevant samples. In April 2024, I started a new position as a postdoctoral researcher at CNR-IFN (Milan, Italy), where I learned and grew within Renzo Vanna's team, in close collaboration with the VIBRA group at the Physics Department of Politecnico di Milano.
I hold a degree in Chemistry (University of the Balearic Islands), a Master in Biomedicine (University of Barcelona), and a Master in Chemical Science and Technology (UNED).
I am a member of The International Society for Clinical Spectroscopy (CLIRSPEC), the Society of Applied Spectroscopy (SAS), the Coblenz Society, and the American Chemical Society (ACS). With a passion for research, I enjoy contributing to projects that combine different areas of science to solve real-world problems.
As non-scientific activities, I have been a basketball coach since 2011, and my last experience was at Movistar Estudiantes.
