Dr. Yakang Dai received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Applied Technology from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. Then, he did postdoctoral research in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2009-2012. Now he is a professor at the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been working in biomedical imaging and image processing from 2004 and has published over 60 papers. In addition, he has participated in the development of several free medical image analysis toolkits including MITK, 3DMed, eConnectome, iBEAT, and aBEAT. He is interested in algorithm and software development in 3D ultrasound, CT/MRI, EEG/MEG, etc.
