Post-doctor

Zhaoliang Li, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Hari Lab in Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI), University of Utah. He is working on small molecules for drug discovery and development, including design novel chemical entities (NCE) through ICM, synthesis of NCE and optimization of novel chemical scaffolds and fragments basing on the SAR through ICM. Dr. Li also specializes in analysis of NMR (1HNMR, 13CNMR, H, H-COSY, HSQC, and HMBC), LC-MS data of small molecules and data of PK, PD and animal models. Prior to joining Huntsman Cancer Institute, Dr. Li was a postdoctoral fellow at Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGEN) from November 2017 to May 2020. The TGEN team (Sharma Lab) is focused on developing small molecules and biologics for cancer. Dr. Li received his PhD in medicinal chemistry from China Pharmaceutical University. His research focuses on computer aided drug discovery (CADD): virtual screening and optimization of lead compounds with goals to develop one or more candidates into clinical trials and save lives of cancer patients in the future.
