British real world data research service run jointly by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the National Institute for Health and Care Research, with its office in London and roots in the general practice research database of 1987. Collects anonymised primary care records from consenting general practices across the United Kingdom and links them to hospital, cancer registry, death registration and other datasets, supplies them to researchers in academia, regulators and industry for pharmacoepidemiology, drug safety and effectiveness studies, and supports interventional research embedded in general practice.
