French national veterinary school in Toulouse, founded in 1828 and one of the country's four veterinary schools, under the agriculture ministry and a member of the Toulouse university grouping. Teaches the veterinary degree with departments covering pharmacology and toxicology, physiology, anatomy, infectious disease, internal medicine and surgery, runs its own teaching hospitals for companion animals, horses and farm animals with clinical pathology and imaging services, and hosts joint research units with INRAE in animal health, toxicology and food safety including work on veterinary drug residues and antimicrobial resistance.
