Guru Nanak Dev University

Indian state university at Amritsar in Punjab, established by a state act in 1969 to mark the five hundredth birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, with regional campuses elsewhere in the state. Teaches through faculties of life sciences with biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology and botany and zoology, physical sciences with chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences, medical sciences, and the social sciences and humanities, and runs its own teaching and research laboratories with doctoral programmes in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology.
