Kanazawa University

Japanese national university in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture, established in 1949 by merging older institutions including the Fourth Higher School and the Kanazawa Medical College, whose pharmacy teaching dates back to the nineteenth century. Its Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences runs the faculty and graduate school of pharmaceutical sciences, offering the six year pharmacy course and four year pharmaceutical sciences course with research in medicinal chemistry, natural products, drug delivery, pharmacology and clinical pharmacy alongside a university hospital.
