Indian fragrance and flavour group founded at Mumbai in 1922 by Sadashiv Hari Kelkar and his brother, the largest domestic fragrance maker in the country and listed on the Indian market as S H Kelkar and Company. Makes fragrance compounds, aroma chemicals and flavours for personal care, home care, food and incense customers, runs automated compounding plants able to produce tens of tonnes a day, holds patents on new aroma molecules and owns the Dutch aroma ingredients maker PFW and the Indian flavour house Saiba.
