German university hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, with its campuses at Grosshadern and in the city centre, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. Provides highly specialised care across the medical and surgical specialties with cancer treatment through its comprehensive cancer centre, cardiac surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, transplantation and paediatrics, and runs its own laboratories, imaging services and hospital pharmacy together with teaching for the university's medical faculty and a large clinical trials programme.
