Chinese public university at Xi'an in Shaanxi province, formed in 1957 and known for aeronautics, astronautics and marine engineering, under the ministry of industry and information technology. Teaches chemistry, materials science and life sciences alongside its engineering disciplines, runs a school of life sciences with work on biomaterials, tissue engineering and space biology, and carries out research on functional materials and biomedical devices with Chinese industry.
