Lebanese private Catholic university at Zouk Mosbeh north of Beirut, run by the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary and founded as a university in 1987, with further campuses at Barsa in the north and Shouf. Teaches through faculties including natural and applied sciences with biology, chemistry, nursing and health sciences, engineering, business administration and economics and humanities, and runs laboratories and research in biology, environmental science and food and health topics.
