Romanian technical university in Bucharest, whose teaching goes back to the school of bridges and roads of 1818 and which took the polytechnic name in 1920, the largest engineering school in the country and a national university of science and technology since 2023. Teaches applied chemistry and materials science, including chemical engineering, biotechnology and pharmaceutical chemistry, alongside mechanical, electrical and computer engineering, and runs research centres for polymers, biomaterials and process technology.
