Science Council

British membership organisation for professional bodies in science, incorporated by royal charter in 2003 and based in London. Awards professional registers including Chartered Scientist, Registered Scientist, Registered Science Technician and Chartered Science Teacher through its licensed member bodies, which include the pharmaceutical, chemical and biomedical science societies, sets standards for professional competence and ethics in science, accredits employer training schemes and works on science policy and workforce issues.
