Brazilian federal university in Curitiba, Paraná, founded in 1912 and one of the oldest universities in the country, with campuses across the state. Teaches pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, nutrition, biological sciences, chemistry and chemical engineering, runs the Hospital de Clínicas as its teaching hospital and its own pharmacy school laboratories, and carries out research in pharmaceutical sciences and drug development, natural products, biotechnology and food science with graduate programmes.
