Spanish public university in Seville in Andalusia, founded in 1505 and one of the country's largest, with its rectorate in the old tobacco factory. Teaches through faculties of pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, chemistry, biology and nursing alongside law, engineering and the humanities, works with the Virgen del Rocío and Virgen Macarena hospitals for clinical teaching, and carries out research in medicinal and analytical chemistry, pharmacology, nutrition and biomedicine with its own laboratories and shared research services.
